HAF IT WYRE FOREST

Let life be...Healthy

Since Summer 2021, we have been apart of the Worcestershire HAF IT programme. This programme has delivered free school meal children with FREE holiday activities and food across the country.

As a part of our offer, we deliver free community outreach activities across the Wyre Forest. We also deliver school activity clubs. All of these programmes include exciting activities from ourselves and our partner organisations.

Since 2021, we have had over 5000 engagements with our services under this programme, engaging with children and young people aged 5 - 16 and above with enriching activities, including circus skills, taekwondo, adventure skills and other sports!

With support from the District Council, community groups and businesses, we have grown our offer to meet the needs of the community and support the development of children across the district.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

At the heart of what we do, is the community. Throughout 2022 we have pushed for more community events across the Wyre Forest and support several organisation's with their own. With HAF we deliver community events across five venues which include four hours of enriching activities and a free lunch. Our community outreach events are open to everyone to support all now and whatever the future may hold.

HOLIDAY CLUB ACTIVITIES

We currently deliver holiday clubs to children across the Wyre Forest aged 5 - 12, during the school holidays. To support as many as possible we work with several schools across the year and include them with our term time offer to further support schools. We work with several organisations to deliver these activities as well as deliver our own adventurous and sport platform.

LARGEST EASTER PACKAGE IN THE PLANNING

To meet the demand of the Wyre Forest Youth Provision we are expanding our services to new areas, attracting new audiences with the aim of supporting more CYPs than ever.

Bewdley, Stourport and Kidderminster have a least two days of delivery, with a total of 9 days to be spent delivering holiday club activities.

TEAM AYOS RECOGNISED FOR HARD WORK

On the 27th October, members of the AYOS team attended a celebration evening for HAF Worcestershire. Following a successful summer, one of their nominations for the shining star award, Layla Shore came runner up! Team AYOS were also commended for their contribution, enthusiasm and commitment to children and young people through the programme!

TEAM AYOS PREPARE FOR WINTER

This AYOS team have come along way since the summer of 21, delivering to new venues and reaching out to more children, young people and families in the community. Following a record breaking year for the organisation, they look to step up to the plate once again for round four in the winter! We are facing unprecedented times, times where organisation need to come together to support their communities!
